What Patients Ask Most

Membership, access, and next steps.

Membership and pricing

What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care, sometimes called membership or concierge-style primary care, is a model where patients pay a predictable monthly fee for ongoing access to relationship-based primary care.

What does membership include?

Membership includes relaxed physician visits, same- or next-day availability whenever possible, direct communication, preventive planning, chronic-condition support, and many common in-office procedures.

Do you offer memberships for families or businesses?

Yes. Cibolo Family Medicine offers options for individuals, families, groups, and businesses. Contact the practice for current rates and group eligibility.

Can I visit before joining?

Yes. Free in-office consultations are available at both the Boerne and Northwest San Antonio offices so you can ask questions and determine whether the model is a good fit.

Insurance, labs, and imaging

Do you accept insurance?

The membership is paid directly to the practice and is not billed to insurance. Many members still keep traditional insurance, a health-sharing plan, VA benefits, or another form of coverage for care outside the practice.

Can I use insurance for care outside the membership?

Yes. Insurance may still be used for eligible labs, imaging, specialists, hospital care, prescriptions, and other services outside the membership.

Are labs and imaging included?

Some common in-office testing may be included. When outside labs or imaging are needed, members may access negotiated self-pay rates or use their insurance when appropriate.

Access and communication

Can I call or text my care team?

Members can use phone, text, email, or video for many care needs. The appropriate channel and response time depend on the urgency and clinical situation.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Same-day or next-day availability whenever possible is a central part of the membership experience.

Do you offer services in Spanish?

Yes. Spanish-language assistance is available. Please tell the team your language preference when you call or request a consultation.

Is Direct Primary Care for emergencies?

No. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for a medical emergency. Membership provides accessible primary care but does not replace emergency services.
